The Mour Hotel, a boutique-style establishment located near Nottingham, UK, has been put on the market with an asking price of £7.25m ($9.81m).

The sale of this purpose-built hotel is being facilitated by UK-based business property adviser Christie & Co.

Featuring a design by Amanda Rosa, the property offers 92 en-suite bedrooms spanning five floors, a bar and restaurant, a fitness suite, and function spaces.

The function areas can accommodate up to 150 guests for weddings, celebrations and conferences.

The property was the first Dakota hotel, a brand co-founded by Malmaison founder Ken McCulloch and former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard.

It operates independently on a ‘hands-off’ basis and presents a potential branding opportunity for new ownership to enhance turnover.

The Mour Hotel has been under the ownership of Russel Allen for around 20 years.

Allen said: “After nearly two decades of ownership, this is a genuine retirement sale for me. The Mour Hotel has been a rewarding project, and I’m proud of what we’ve built. It’s a strong, award-winning business, and I believe there’s real opportunity for a new owner to take it even further.”

Christie & Co senior business agent Matt Hill is managing the sale of the property.

Hill said: “The Mour Hotel is a landmark, well-positioned venue with a broad offering of facilities and strong financial performance. This, combined with its fantastic position and potential to further grow the business, makes it a great opportunity for an experienced operator to add to their portfolio. Our recommendation would be to contact us for further information and view the site to appreciate its quality and value.”

This announcement follows Christie & Co's recent news regarding the sale of Knights Hill Hotel and Spa in north-west Norfolk, UK, which has been placed on the market for £7.95m.
