Pudu Robotics and Shenzhen Culture & Tourism Industry Development (Shenzhen CTID) have agreed to collaborate on developing a hotel entirely staffed by robots on the West Artificial Island of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link in China.

Described as the world’s first full-scenario robot-serviced hotel, the project was formalised through a strategic cooperation agreement signed by the two companies.

The property will integrate robots for a range of functions, including guest reception, cleaning, room delivery, food service and general guest support. It will use AI and multi-robot coordination to manage these services.

Pudu Robotics stated that the implementation will occur in phases, with initial features being introduced this year and a trial operation expected by the year-end.

Selected guest rooms and robot-based services will be made available to the public during this phase.

The project partners have outlined a long-term vision, targeting 2030 for ongoing development and further introduction of advanced robotics and AI features within the hotel.

According to Pudu Robotics, the initiative aims to create a benchmark for combining hospitality, tourism and automated intelligent services.

Pudu Robotics co-founder and CTO Cong Guo said: “This partnership represents an important step toward large-scale deployment of embodied intelligence in premium hospitality environments.

“It also provides an opportunity to explore new service models where AI and robotics work together to deliver intelligent, end-to-end experiences in the real world.”

During the signing ceremony, Pudu Robotics showcased operational demonstrations, including automated retail and delivery through the FlashBot vending system, heavy-duty luggage transport using the PUDU T300, and real-time facility cleaning by PUDU CC1 Pro and PUDU MT1 robots.

BellaBot Pro and KettyBot Pro provided beverage and snack services while interacting with guests. Event attendees also saw interactive performances from PUDU D5 robots.
