Radisson RED Auckland has opened in the city’s Arts District, marking Radisson Hotel Group’s entry into New Zealand and Australasia.

The property aims to support both leisure and business guests. It features 322 guest rooms and suites, as well as gallery-style installations.

The hotel is also said to feature the country’s largest rooftop space, alongside pet-friendly accommodation in Auckland’s Central Business District.

With a capacity for 219 guests, the hotel’s rooftop can be configured into four flexible rooms for events ranging from corporate functions to social occasions.

Guests have direct access to major attractions such as the Civic Theatre, Art Gallery, Auckland Museum, Sky Tower, West Coast beaches and Waiheke Island.

Numerous cafés and restaurants are within walking distance, supporting convenience for all travellers.

Radisson Hotel Group MEA [Middle East and Africa] and SEAP [Southeast Asia and Pacific] chief operating officer Tim Cordon said: “Radisson RED thrives in cities fuelled by creativity, culture, and community, and Auckland captures that spirit perfectly.

“This opening marks a major milestone for our growth in Australasia and a proud moment for our upper-upscale Radisson RED brand, which brings a playful twist to the conventional.

“As Radisson Hotel Group’s debut in New Zealand and the first Radisson RED in the region, we can’t wait for everyone to see Auckland in RED and experience a hotel bursting with energy, design, and unforgettable moments.”

Earlier this month, Radisson Hotel Group signed an agreement for the Radisson RED Hotel Queenstown, further extending its lifestyle brand presence in New Zealand.
