Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, has entered Papua New Guinea with the opening of Sheraton Port Moresby Stanley Hotel & Suites.

The property is situated in Port Moresby’s central business and government district.

The hotel offers 394 accommodation units, comprising 284 guest rooms, 15 suites and 95 apartments, catering to both business and leisure travellers.

Sheraton Port Moresby Stanley Hotel & Suites is also Marriott International’s second hotel in the country.

Marriott International Asia Pacific excluding China chief lodging product and services officer Cristiano Rinaldi said: “The opening of Sheraton Port Moresby Stanley Hotel & Suites marks a significant milestone as we introduce one of Marriott International’s most global brands to Papua New Guinea.

The property includes more than 2,500m² of meeting and event facilities, featuring a ballroom that is claimed as the largest in Papua New Guinea.

Sheraton Port Moresby Stanley Hotel & Suites houses several dining and social outlets intended for both hotel guests and local residents.

Leisure and wellness amenities at the hotel comprise a swimming pool, fitness centre and spa.
