Hotel management company Strand Hospitality has opened the Fairfield Inn and Suites Coastal Carolina Conway in the US state of South Carolina.

The new hotel, located at 2061 E Highway 501, was constructed by Dargan Construction Company and developed by Southern Ventures.

It is the first select-service, Marriott-branded hotel in the area and features 98 rooms, with each room comprising a lounge chair, a workstation, a coffee maker, a couch, a microwave and a refrigerator.

Strand Hospitality chief operating officer Jay Keller said: “The Fairfield Inn and Suites Coastal Carolina Conway enjoys a fantastic location, convenient to several businesses and directly across the street from Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College.

“As the first select-service, Marriott-branded hotel in the area, the hotel was designed to meet the evolving needs and demands of today’s business and leisure travellers.”

The Fairfield Inn and Suites Coastal Carolina Conway include complimentary Wi-Fi, a fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool and a lounge in the lobby.

It also boasts three meeting rooms as well as an executive boardroom, complete with audio-visual equipment.

Strand Hospitality president John Pharr said: “We are confident that the introduction of the Fairfield Inn and Suites brand will be a boon to Conway, providing both jobs and additional revenue to the community.”

In 2021, the company opened the 124-room Courtyard by Marriott Pensacola West, located at 3200 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, Florida.
