NightFood Holdings' subsidiary TechForce Robotics has announced the deployment of its autonomous service robot, Things in Motion – Everywhere (TIM-E), at the Homewood Suites hotel in Del Mar, California, US.

TIM-E is central to TechForce's robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) model and is currently facilitating essential back-of-house operations such as automated transport and linen handling.

The RaaS platform addresses labour-intensive, repetitive and operationally constrained tasks. 

This deployment aims to alleviate manual workload and enhance operational consistency amidst ongoing challenges in the labour market.

TechForce Robotics president Ried Floco said: “Our robotics solutions are developed to seamlessly integrate into the daily operations of hospitality venues like the Homewood Suites Hotel, augmenting staff rather than replacing them.

“With TIM-E operating 24 hours per day and seven days per week, hospitality staff can focus more time on guest service and experience.”

Equipped with advanced autonomous navigation capabilities, TIM-E can avoid obstacles in real-time and is integrated with elevators and doors, allowing it to function seamlessly across multiple floors.

It features a modular design that permits adaptation to various operational requirements in hospitality environments, which is intended to improve workflow efficiency and flexibility.

With the installation at the Homewood Suites hotel, TechForce aims to focus on providing scalable robotic solutions in the hospitality sector.
