UK-based hotel business Whitbread has marked a construction milestone with the topping out of its latest hub by Premier Inn hotel at Snow Hill in London.

The 212-bedroom hotel is a strategic expansion in central London, aligning with the City of London Corporation's Destination City policy.

Situated on the former Snow Hill Police Station site, the development is in support of the City of London Corporation's efforts to bolster the Square Mile as a seven-day-a-week destination

The hotel will feature 212 'compact' hub by Premier Inn bedrooms, centred around a new atrium space.

The Grade II-listed Victorian police station frontage and internal heritage assets in the building have been preserved.

Additionally, the hotel will provide access to the city's cultural, business and leisure offerings, being located a four-minute stroll from Farringdon Underground Station and the Elizabeth Line. St Paul's Cathedral is also within a ten-minute walk.

The Snow Hill hotel will include a permanent, complimentary exhibition space detailing the history of the development site.

The hub by Premier Inn at Snow Hill, set to open its doors in early 2027, is anticipated to operate under the name hub by Premier Inn Old Bailey.

This is in recognition of its proximity to the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales and the area's judicial and professional significance.
