Global hospitality group Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has reached a partnership with J City Group and Trinidad Hospitality to manage the Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J-City hotel in Malaysia.
The collaboration marks an expansion of the Wyndham Garden brand in Malaysia, specifically on the east coast.
The Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J-City is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026.
The property will feature 361 rooms and is located on Jalan Merdeka in the centre of Kuantan, Pahang. Once operational, Trinidad reports that it will be the tallest building in central Kuantan.
The establishment was previously a serviced apartment complex which has been converted for use as a luxury hotel.
Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J-City will provide suites varying from 743ft² to 1,299ft², and a multi-purpose hall for meetings and events.
Other facilities will include an Olympic-size infinity pool, a gymnasium, a jogging track, and a playground within landscaped grounds.
The location places guests within close proximity to major sites such as Kuantan 188, Esplanade Kuantan and East Coast Mall.

The three involved parties formalised the agreement at a signing ceremony held at Ramada Suites by Wyndham KLCC.
