Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 53.47% in November 2022, a 3.48% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 15.42% in November 2022, marking a 1.64% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 15.42% in November 2022, a 38.14% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 31.76% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s travel & tourism industry during November 2022 over previous month.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 109 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 31.33% over the previous month, followed by Booking Holdings with 44 jobs and a 31.25% drop. Uber Technologies with 27 IT jobs and Meyer Jabara Hotels with 22 jobs, recorded a 17.39% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Columbia Hospitality recorded a flat growth with 22 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s travel & tourism industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 50.13% share in November 2022, a 1.56% increase over October 2022. Australia featured next with a 10.8% share, flat growth over the previous month. Thailand recorded a 10.03% share, a drop of 33.9% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.84%, down by 2.62% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.34% share, registered a decline of 8.79% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.83% share, down 25.81% over October 2022.
