Previously owned and managed by Belmond, both properties will transition to new management.

Situated on a hilltop in the UNESCO Heritage region of Luang Prabang, La Résidence Phou Vao will continue its operations under HMD Asia.

The hotel features 34 suites, a Mekong Spa, and a three-acre garden filled with flowers, exotic plants, and water features.

Meanwhile, La Résidence D’Angkor is currently undergoing renovations. It is set to reopen in the fourth quarter of 2025 under HMD Asia’s management.

Owned by Cambodian entrepreneur Sokoun Chanpreda and managed by Anthony Lark, HMD Asia currently oversees a diverse portfolio of hotels.

This portfolio includes Shinta Mani Mustang, TRIBE, and Shinta Mani Angkor among others.

Earlier this year, HMD appointed Marc LeBlanc and Laura Robinson to lead its management team, aimed at driving operational excellence at the Shinta Mani Wild property.
