Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has opened a new hotel under its Vivanta upscale brand in Aluva, an area in Kochi, Kerala.
The Vivanta hotel includes 92 rooms and suites, the design of which are inspired by from the Chinese fishing nets seen in Kochi.

Dining options at the hotel include an all-day dining restaurant Mynt; The Ace, a rooftop venue that offers barbeque dishes; and a patisserie Swirl.
The opening follows the signing of the hotel in November 2023. IHCL worked with Hotel Pearl Dunes on the project.
IHCL new businesses and hotel openings executive vice-president Deepika Rao said: “IHCL has played a defining role in shaping Kochi’s hospitality landscape.
“Opening of Vivanta Aluva, Kochi marks the expansion of IHCL’s brandscape in the city’s emerging micro market of Aluva, part of the Kochi Metropolitan area. This thriving business hub and its rich cultural legacy makes it an ideal fit for the Vivanta brand.”

The addition of this property brings IHCL’s presence in Kerala to 22 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands. This number includes six hotels still under development.
Vivanta Aluva, Kochi general manager Anup Kumar said: “The stylishly spirited brand Vivanta is brought to life at Vivanta Aluva, through vibrant spaces, eclectic dining and experiences that celebrate Kochi’s unique character.”
Globally, IHCL manages a total of 591 hotels. This includes 319 properties currently in development across four continents, 14 countries and more than 250 locations.
In July, IHCL signed an agreement for another Vivanta-branded property in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
