The new Marriott International brand was previously known as ARC Hotel Washington DC, Georgetown and is situated in the Foggy Bottom neighbourhood.

ARC Hotel provides guests with convenient access to the Foggy Bottom–GWU Metro station and major city locations.

Its proximity to Georgetown University, the George Washington University, Lincoln Memorial, the National Mall, White House, Georgetown Waterfront, and the Kennedy Center positions it centrally for both business and leisure guests.

In addition, visitors benefit from nearby nightlife, dining, shopping and cultural activities across Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle, and Downtown.

The property features large and refurbished guest rooms intended for varied travel needs, including business travel, family stays and extended visits.

The ARC Hotel Washington DC renovation extended across both public and private areas. Arrival and check-in processes have been improved through a newly designed front desk, enhanced lighting and a new layout.

Public areas have been updated with new furnishings, finishes, artwork, and carpeting.

The refurbishment also includes a redesigned marketplace with grab-and-go snacks, beverages and travel essentials.

ARC Hotel’s general manager Abdulla Almutairi said: “Joining Series by Marriott allows us to elevate the ARC Hotel experience while preserving the individuality of our property and neighbourhood.

“With refreshed interiors, enhanced guest touchpoints from arrival to departure, and our unbeatable Foggy Bottom location, we are excited to welcome guests seeking travel experiences where the basics are done exceptionally well.”

Earlier this week, Sun Group and Marriott International entered a strategic partnership to develop ten new hotels and resorts in Phu Quoc and Vung Tau, Vietnam.
