DoveHill intends to expand upon the heritage of the hotel through specific improvements that enhance the luxury experience.
The hotel includes guestrooms and cottages, gardens, a 20,000ft² spa, two dining venues, and an outdoor pool.
DoveHill founder and CEO Jake Wurzak said: “Mayflower Inn & Spa is one of those truly irreplaceable properties.
“It has an extraordinary sense of place, a legacy of excellence, and the kind of one-of-a-kind character we look for in every investment. We are deeply honoured to steward this iconic estate and carry its storied tradition forward.”
DoveHill described the deal as a continuation of its investment strategy in luxury hospitality.
DoveHill chief investment officer Charles Paloux said: “Mayflower Inn & Spa is precisely the kind of asset we are singularly focused on — ultra-luxury, irreplaceable, and rich with high ROI [return on investment] opportunities.”
In May 2025, DoveHill exited its preferred equity investment in the Courtyard New York Manhattan Chelsea hotel, recording an 18.4% internal rate of return (IRR) over four years.
The company made the investment in 2020 to provide preferred equity capital for the property’s immediate financial requirements during the Covid-19 pandemic.
