Xiong’an New Area is a state-level urban development designed to support ongoing economic growth in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region. It is expected to become a centre for relocated government agencies, businesses, and cultural organisations from Beijing.
The location is also being positioned to host sporting and large-scale events, supported by purpose-built venues and direct transport links with surrounding cities.
The planned Cordis and Ying’nFlo properties will form part of a single integrated hotel complex, with a total gross floor area of 23,700m². The complex is scheduled to commence operations in the second quarter of 2028.
Cordis, Xiong’an will occupy 16,000m² and feature 180 guest rooms while Ying’nFlo, Xiong’an will cover 7,700m² with 120 guest rooms.
The Cordis brand focuses on service-led guest experiences, while Ying’nFlo is structured to offer more flexible and communal areas aimed at younger travellers as well as the local community.
LHG CEO Bob van den Oord said: “We are delighted to partner with China Xiong’an Group Public Service Management Company to bring Cordis and Ying’nFlo to Xiong’an New Area.
“As the city takes shape, we believe our dual-brand approach will be well-suited to support the broad range of travel needs that will accompany its growth.”
LHG’s move into Xiong’an forms part of its strategy to increase its footprint in China, particularly within the country’s north. The agreement also marks the first time both the upscale Cordis brand and the upper-midscale Ying’nFlo brand will operate together within the same development.
Xiong’an New Area’s evolving blend of civic infrastructure, amenities, and community spaces is expected to shape the demand for diverse hospitality options as the city continues its expansion.
Earlier this month, LHG signed an agreement with Jinan Licheng District Quanfuhe Investment Development to manage a new hotel in Jinan, Shandong, China.
