The multi-year initiative will upgrade all 489 guest rooms and amenities, including the hotel lobby, pool, ARC Restaurant + Bar, and Fairmont Gold.

The next phase is expected to begin in late 2026, with newly renovated rooms available for booking in early 2027.

The renovated rooms feature new multi-functional tables replacing traditional desks and 65in flat-screen televisions.

The beds have been fitted with a Sealy Stearns & Foster mattress, and Le Labo bath products are provided in guest bathrooms.

Montreal-based design company CAMDI has overseen the design process.

CAMDI senior project director Karine Bannon said: “The transformation focuses on spatial clarity, enhanced comfort, and stronger visual connection to the harbour, mountains, and skyline.

“Layouts feel more intentional and fluid, furnishings are refined and contemporary, and the atmosphere is calmer and more immersive.

“The result is a space that supports both relaxation and productivity — reflecting the hotel’s role as a destination for both leisure and corporate travellers.”

Fairmont Waterfront general manager Randall Williams said: “We are proud of the work completed so far, and we look forward to welcoming guests into refreshed spaces that feel truly inspired by the remarkable Pacific Northwest.”

When complete, the project aims to modernise guest facilities while preserving the hotel’s identity.
