AMTD Group and its affiliated companies have announced the completion of The Generation Essentials Group’s (TGE) 50% interest acquisition in The Ritz-Carlton, Perth, Australia, for A$100m ($72m).
TGE is a subsidiary of AMTD Digital, a comprehensive digital solutions platform with headquarters in France.

Valued at A$280m, the Ritz-Carlton, Perth comprises 205 rooms, a restaurant, spa, fitness centre and event spaces.
The hotel serves as the 100th Ritz-Carlton property worldwide.
The companies stated that the acquisition marks a strategic milestone in expanding TGE’s hospitality portfolio. AMTD’s hospitality holdings now have almost 1,000 rooms following this transaction.
In a separate development, AMTD recently announced the completion of TGE’s purchase of a supermajority interest in the Upper View Regalia Hotel located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for $38m.
The hotel consists of 129 guest rooms and 80 parking bays and also features a rooftop infinity pool that overlooks the Kuala Lumpur skyline.
The recent acquisitions form part of AMTD’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in global hospitality markets.
In March 2026, TGE completed its $69m acquisition of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Tribeca, New York City, US.
The property has been rebranded as the AMTD IDEA Tribeca Hotel and offers accommodation within a neighbourhood setting, with proximity to local art, fashion, and cultural venues.
