IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered an agreement with Meraki Land for two new properties in Vietnam, supporting its growth in the country’s luxury and premium hotel sectors.

The arrangement covers the development of Regent Ho Tram, a luxury beachfront resort set to open in 2032, and Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong, which is scheduled to open in 2029.

Regent Ho Tram will offer 220 rooms and will be located on a private stretch of Ho Tram beach.

The resort is planned to feature 110 suites, 30 Skyvilla Suites with private pools, and 80 villas ranging from two to four bedrooms, each also including a private pool. Facilities are expected to include several restaurants, bars, and wellness services.

In addition, the site will incorporate 95 Regent-branded residences, with a selection of Skyvilla Suites and villas.

Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong, offering 221 rooms, will be developed within a mixed-use complex in Thuan An, Binh Duong province. The complex will include commercial, retail, and branded residential space and is located about one hour from central Ho Chi Minh City.

The hotel is intended to attract both business and corporate travellers. Its planned amenities are three restaurants, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, and more than 1,000m² of meeting space across six rooms.

Meraki Land owns Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection and is a founding shareholder of Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre. The new agreement builds on the ongoing relationship between IHG and Meraki Land.

IHG South East Asia and Korea managing director Vivek Bhalla said: “Since opening our first hotel in Vietnam in 2007, we’ve built a strong reputation in the country and today are the market leader in luxury, as well as the largest operator of resort-branded residences.

“Working alongside partners such as Meraki Land, we continue to open brand-defining hotels that combine thoughtful design with exceptional craftsmanship.”

IHG currently operates 24 hotels in Vietnam and has a pipeline of 19 properties under development.

Last month, IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the consecutive openings of two ANA Holiday Inn hotels in Japan.
