The Craftsman property occupies a historic structure noted for its original Ernest Batchelder tilework in the lobby, which the company said will be preserved as part of the building’s transformation.
The project embodies Reside brand’s ongoing policy of revitalising architecturally important spaces while providing modern living amenities.
The 110 residential units will each include a full kitchen, dishwasher, in-unit laundry, and Roku-enabled television, with some units offering sofa beds to serve diverse guest needs.
The property will feature a 24/7 staffed front desk and a dedicated on-site team that aligns with Reside’s hospitality-first operating model, which aims to support guests.
Reside Craftsman property owner Shahram Delijani said: “This project marks an important step in the continued revitalisation of Downtown Los Angeles.
“By thoughtfully restoring a historic property and activating it with high-quality hospitality, we’re contributing to the energy returning to the neighbourhood and helping reestablish it as a dynamic destination for visitors and the local community alike.”
The opening of Reside Craftsman marks the company’s entry into the Los Angeles market as it continues to expand its urban residential offerings.
Reside, a Wyndham Residence brand president J R Dembiec said: “The addition of Reside Craftsman reflects our broader strategy to scale in high-demand urban markets.
“We’re building a Collection that isn’t defined by one type of asset, but by a consistent and experiential brand standard bringing together location, liveability, and service across every property we operate.”
