The hotel will be located near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. It will offer access to key commercial districts, including Andheri MIDC, SEEPZ Mumbai and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The location will also connect guests to Jio World Convention Centre.
According to local media reports, the 208-key hotel will be Radisson Hotel Group’s eighth property in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
Radisson will develop the project by renovating and repositioning an existing hotel under the Radisson RED brand.
Planned facilities at the property will include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar and a deli.
The hotel will also feature more than 1,000m² of meeting and event space, including a ballroom and banquet halls. Additional amenities are set to include a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.
Radisson Hotel Group South Asia managing director and COO Nikhil Sharma was quoted by The Economic Times as saying: “Mumbai continues to be one of India’s most dynamic hospitality markets, and the signing of Radisson RED Mumbai International Airport reinforces our strategy of expanding in high-demand, high-growth locations.
“With its proximity to one of the country’s busiest airports and key commercial hubs, the hotel is well positioned to cater to the evolving needs of business and leisure travellers seeking design-led, lifestyle hospitality experiences.
“This signing also marks an important milestone in our growth journey, taking our portfolio in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region to eight hotels. We remain committed to strengthening our presence in key gateway cities while introducing brands that resonate with the preferences of today’s modern travellers.”
