Dallas-based Looney & Associates led the design of the “adaptive reuse project”, a statement said. Key restored features and additions include the building’s façade, a vaulted lobby, a four-storey light court, a grand staircase, and natural marble floors among others.

The property also offers two food and beverage outlets, a fitness centre, and 7,770ft² of event space. This includes the 2,575ft² Vanderbilt Ballroom, which features floor-to-ceiling windows.

Located a short distance from Great American Ballpark, Paycor Stadium and the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the property is positioned as an “accessible gateway” for the city’s cultural district.

Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel general manager Michael Dunbar said: “Cincinnati has always been a city with a strong sense of place, and this project is about amplifying that spirit.

“Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel is an energy creator for downtown where design, culture, and community come together seamlessly.”

New Waterloo’s portfolio also includes Albert Hotel, El Capitan Hotel, Hotel Revival, La Condesa, Mañana Coffee Shop, Trick Hat Workway and other properties.
