According to Minor Hotels, the redesigned Avani Queenstown will offer guests with social spaces, après-ski gatherings, private dining rooms and other event facilities.
An all-day dining restaurant is to provide a social hub for guests and residents, serving breakfast, lunch, high tea and à la carte options.
The hotel will also have well-being facilities such as AvaniSpa and AvaniFit.
Minor Hotels Australasia chief operating officer Craig Hooley said: “Avani Queenstown introduces a premium lifestyle offering to one of New Zealand’s most dynamic tourism destinations.
“Combining a standout lakefront location with Avani’s design-led approach, the hotel delivers a contemporary guest experience that reflects how travellers increasingly want to stay, connect and experience a destination.”
Avani Queenstown will be the brand’s second property in New Zealand, alongside Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences.
The launch follows the recent opening of Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in Australia, adding to Avani’s footprint across Australasia.
Together, these properties are described by the brand as part of a focused push into urban, coastal and resort locations, aimed at serving demand for contemporary lifestyle travel.
Minor Hotels New Zealand area general manager James Billing said: “Queenstown has evolved into a destination that offers much more than seasonal travel.
“We’re excited to introduce Avani Queenstown to a market that continues to attract visitors year-round, offering a new way for travellers to experience one of New Zealand’s most iconic destinations.”
