IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed deals for five new properties in Taiwan and launched a digital member platform in the market.
The operator currently runs 17 hotels across eight brands in the country, covering the luxury, lifestyle, premium, and essentials segments.

The latest agreements will add properties across Taipei, Taitung and Pingtung.
The pipeline marks the debut of the HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts brand in Taiwan with HUALUXE Taipei, which will centre on regional heritage, dining, tea experiences, and social gatherings.
In the capital, the group has also secured a dual-brand development comprising voco Taipei Shihlin and Holiday Inn Express Taipei Shihlin.
In eastern Taiwan, Crowne Plaza Taitung Zhiben Hot Spring will introduce the brand to the Zhiben hot spring district.
In the south, Holiday Inn Pingtung City Center will become the first internationally branded hotel in Pingtung.
Alongside the real estate expansion, the company has rolled out the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App to extend digital services to local customers. The app will enable users to manage membership and receive information on hotels and reservations.
