InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has launched the Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square flagship in New York.

It sits close to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, the Broadway theatre district and Central Park.
Dining and lounge facilities include Fifty-First Street Social, which serves as the hotel’s bar and day-long dining space.
A 24-hour marketplace sells takeaway food and travel basics.
The hotel also includes brand-led guest programmes such as Weekly Socials and Daily Rituals.
Weekly Socials are centred on food and drink linked to the local area, while Daily Rituals cover morning and evening services, including wellness-related options and sleep support features.
The property provides meeting and event areas suited to small team gatherings.
It also has The Studio, a separate space for smaller collaborative sessions near the lobby, and a Meetings & Events Concierge service.
Higher floors house the Manhattan Level, which includes larger suites and rooms designed with views across the city skyline.
At the top of the building, the Broadway Suite on the 22nd floor is a penthouse-style unit with a terrace intended for private events, celebrations and longer stays.
Crowne Plaza currently has more than 400 hotels in operation worldwide and nearly 150 more in development.
The group said it expects to add over 36,000 rooms in the next few years, increasing its global portfolio by more than 35%.
IHG Hotels & Resorts global premium brands brand management vice-president Ginger Taggart said: “Our new flagship hotel for Crowne Plaza represents a defining moment for the brand. Guided by our New Modern design philosophy, every aspect of the traveller experience has been thoughtfully developed to meet the needs of today’s blended traveller – from flexible social spaces and elevated food and beverage offerings to signature experiences that are truly tailored to what the next generation of guests expect.”
In April, Crowne Plaza Riyadh Al Takhassusi opened in the Al Olaya district, adding to IHG Hotels & Resorts’ premium portfolio in Saudi Arabia.
