TFE Hotels will invest $100m in its older Adina apartment hotels as part of a wider overhaul of the brand’s existing estate.
The funding would support both expansion through new hotels in Australia, Europe and the UK, as well as the refurbishment of several established sites.

Work is due to cover guest accommodation, shared areas and hotel facilities at selected properties in Australia and Europe, with the aim of updating design and the apartment-hotel format.
One of the projects is Adina Darling Harbour in Sydney, which has undergone a multi-million-dollar refurbishment under TFE Hotels’ programme for Adina sites.
Designed by Bates Smart, the 114-room property has been updated with interiors informed by Darling Harbour’s natural setting, including layered materials, organic shapes and colours linked to the waterfront.
Changes also include a new restaurant connected to the lobby and pool areas, intended to improve movement through the property and its connection to the surrounding harbour area.
The hotel first opened 26 years ago, ahead of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
The Sydney project follows other recent works within the Adina portfolio.
These include Adina Perth, where refurbishment drew on Western Australia’s landscape and colour palette, and Adina Town Hall in Sydney, which was fully refurbished last year.
In Europe, TFE Hotels said renovation work is under way in Germany and has recently been completed in Hungary.
Adina Frankfurt Neue Oper is in the middle of a 12-month refurbishment that began in January and covers the hotel’s 134 apartments and public areas.
Adina Budapest has completed a nine-month programme involving 75 guest rooms in the main wing as well as shared spaces.
The Budapest property serves both business and leisure travellers and is near the Danube River, WestEnd City Centre, Lehel tér market and Margaret Island.
TFE Hotels said further refurbishment work is planned for apartment-style properties in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Singapore.
