The move follows the group’s initial pilot programme and the recent inclusion of three hotels in Norway.
The programme aims to apply net zero operating practices across hotels with different locations, facilities and operating conditions.
Under the programme, participating hotels must use 100% renewable energy for functions, including heating, cooling, hot water, cooking, and spa and pool facilities.
This is achieved via electrification, the purchase of renewable energy, or both.
The programme also covers Scope 3 emissions, including waste, laundry, supplies, and procurement.
Radisson Hotel Group worked with Sweden-based Klimato to assess food offered through in-room dining, meetings and events, and breakfast buffets.
The resulting menus use carbon labels from A, representing the lowest level, to E, representing the highest level. The group said recipe carbon footprints can be reduced by up to 40%.
TÜV Rheinland independently verifies each hotel against an internationally recognised Net Zero Methodology for Hotels.
