It offers 216 guestrooms and suites, each covering 36m² (388ft²).
The hotel’s design draws inspiration from northern Japan, combining contemporary interiors with references to Hokkaido’s cultural and natural heritage.
Its dining facilities include Matsu Grill & Bar, located on the 17th floor.
The property also features Mr. Fish by Hyatt Centric Sapporo, a casual café serving fish and chips prepared with seasonal white fish caught in the waters around Hokkaido.
Hyatt Centric Sapporo general manager Yuki Takimura said: “We are thrilled to introduce the Hyatt Centric brand to Sapporo, a dynamic destination where every season reveals a new side of Hokkaido.
“Placing you in the middle of the action, Hyatt Centric Sapporo is designed to be an ideal starting point for exploration.
“Through an insider’s lens, we look forward to helping World of Hyatt members and guests discover local flavours, cultural traditions and seasonal experiences that make every stay unique.”
Introduced in 2015, Hyatt Centric is a lifestyle brand designed to cater to business and leisure travelers.
In August last year, a Hyatt affiliate signed a management agreement with Kanden Realty & Development to introduce the first Hyatt Centric hotel in Osaka, Japan.
Scheduled to open in 2031, the hotel will be part of a redevelopment project involving Kanden Realty & Development, Nankai Electric Railway, and Osaka Metro.
The hotel is planned in a 28-floor mixed-use complex, which is directly connected to Namba Station.
