Hospitality group Accor has launched Rimrock Banff within Banff National Park in Canada, marking the first North American location for its Emblems Collection brand.
The property represents the second opening globally for the chain, following Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in rural England.

Prior to reopening, the site underwent a redevelopment focused on integrating the facility with its surrounding mountain environment.
The lodging facility contains 320 rooms, comprising 57 suites.
Among these units, the infinity two-bedroom Suite includes an exterior wraparound terrace measuring upwards of 1,260ft², fitted with a barrel sauna, fire table, and vistas of the surrounding park.
The property also houses Wellness Studio suites, which contain fitness apparatus, recovery items, designated minibars, sleep-oriented provisions, and access to a sports gear-lending scheme.
Wellness infrastructure is divided between two main facilities.
The 9,600ft² Bathhouse contains indoor and outdoor hydrothermal zones, encompassing vitality and hot pools, an infinity pool facing the mountains, cold plunge baths, a salt sauna, and an aromatic steam facility.
The building also incorporates an Aurora sensory chamber and a suspended meditation space.
A separate 3,800ft² Active Centre is equipped with Peloton and Technogym machinery, bouldering installations, fitness classes, and physical therapy offerings.
Guest excursions are managed by hotel guides through an on-site Expeditions Centre, which coordinates more than 50 seasonal itineraries categorised by nature, culture, physical exercise, and outdoor recreation.
Activities include alpine yoga, guided walking tours, forest bathing, canyon ice walks, excursions to the Athabasca Glacier, and regional Indigenous cultural sessions.
Food and beverage services operate across four separate spaces.
Parker’s Table serves seasonal dishes prepared with ingredients obtained from regional foragers, fishermen, and agricultural producers.
Rimrock Social serves as the central gathering lounge, while The Listening Room provides recorded vinyl music alongside rare spirits and wines.
