The 144-room Leonardo Smart Regensburg is located near “Regensburg’s historic old quarter”.

The hotel offers a breakfast buffet, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a bar operating around the clock. It also has two interconnecting meeting rooms, which can accommodate up to 16 people.

In Kiel, Leonardo Hotels entered the Schleswig-Holstein state capital with the Leonardo Royal Conti Hansa Kiel.

Previously operating as the Steigenberger Conti Hansa, the hotel is located opposite the Baltic Quay’s two cruise terminals.

The 164-room property has family rooms and junior suites. Its renovated 75m² grand suite includes a separate bedroom, along with private living and dining areas.

The hotel also includes a restaurant and a bar with a lounge and pool table. Other facilities include a gym, sauna, and outdoor terrace.

For meetings and events, the property offers 11 rooms, with combined capacity for up to 270 people.

Leonardo Hotels also said that the former IntercityHotel in Magdeburg has completed a wide-ranging refurbishment. The property is now operating as Leonardo Magdeburg City Center.

Leonardo Hotels Central Europe managing director Yoram Biton said: “We are pursuing growth in Germany at several levels.

“Our acquisitions in Regensburg and Kiel have enabled us to strengthen our presence at other locations. At the same time, we are taking a targeted approach towards developing existing hotels and are thus laying the foundations for their long-term success.

“The modernisation works in Magdeburg are a good example of this. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners for their collaboration and for the trust they have shown.”
