Hilton has introduced Pay with Points, a feature in the Hilton Honors mobile application that allows guests to redeem loyalty points for eligible on-property expenses during digital checkout.
According to a company statement, the deployment makes Hilton “the first major hotel brand” to offer a digital, in-app points settlement process without requiring guests to visit the front desk.

The option is currently available to loyalty members holding Silver, Gold, Diamond, or Diamond Reserve tier status at participating US hotels.
During the mobile checkout workflow, qualifying guests can review their itemised folio, inspect available point-redemption tiers, and apply their balance directly toward eligible charges.
Hilton introduced the capability following internal research into member preferences. According to survey data from the operator, 70% of surveyed Hilton Honors members expressed interest in using loyalty points to settle on-property charges.
Approximately 50% of respondents also stated that the feature would make them “more likely to stay or book” with the brand.
Hilton Honors Program vice-president Brad Anderson said: “Our Hilton Honors members have told us they want more flexibility when it comes to using those Points. They can already redeem them for free night stays or money-can’t-buy experiences around the world.
“Pay with Points introduces another digitally-enabled tool to our members, reducing the friction of travel and providing them with the choice and control that they value.”
The initial rollout covers 150 participating properties in the US.
Hilton plans to scale the offering to more than 800 hotels by the end of this year, ahead of a planned rollout to more than 6,000 participating properties in the US and Canada in early 2027.
It added that availability, terms, and redemption options may vary by location.
