June 2021 has seen an increase of 18.29% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 4.64% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering decrease of 2.2% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 60.36% in June 2021, an 8.02% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 22.04% in June 2021, marking a 2.29% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 8.39% in June 2021, a 41.38% drop from May 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 1.35% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s travel & tourism industry during June 2021 over previous month.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 67 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a decline of 4.29% over the previous month, followed by DSV Panalpina with 57 jobs and a 5.56% growth. Deutsche Bahn with 43 IT jobs and International Game Technology with 31 jobs, recorded a 2.38% growth and a 24% increase, respectively, while Deutsche Lufthansa recorded a 12.5% decline with 28 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s travel & tourism industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 21.71% share in June 2021, a 21.43% decline over May 2021. the UK featured next with a 19.57% share, up 27.96% over the previous month. France recorded an 11.02% share, a drop of 4.29% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.76%, down by 17.76% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.42% share, a growth of 41.77% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.49% share, down 18% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.33%, recording a month-on-month growth of 100%.
