UK-based company International Game Technology’s IT hiring rose 10.4% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 18.75% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 32.67% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.73% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops International Game Technology IT hiring in August 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by International Game Technology, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 63.33% in August 2021, and a 7.32% drop over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 18.33% in August 2021, and registered growth of 22.22%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10% in August 2021, a 200% rise from July 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at International Game Technology

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 50% share, which marked a 7.14% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 25%, registering a 150% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 23.33% share and a 39.13% drop over July 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.67% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 36.67% share in August 2021, a 4.76% growth over July 2021. India featured next with a 15% share, up 800% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 13.33% share, an increase of 33.33% compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead International Game Technology IT hiring activity in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.33%, up by 25% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.33% share, a decline of 17.65% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 18.33% share, down 8.33% over July 2021.
