Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations drive travel and tourism hiring activity

Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations, which accounted for 16% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were up by 179% year-on-year. Second highest were Management Occupations, which accounted for 16% and rise by 306% year-on-year, and third highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which were 317% of the new job postings and 420% higher year-on-year.

Top five companies in travel and tourism accounted for 98% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Marriott International with 11,162, followed by Shangri-La Asia with 1,893, while the highest increase was at InterContinental Hotels Group at 14%.
