Management Occupations drive travel and tourism hiring activity

Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 20% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were up by 184% year-on-year. Second highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which accounted for 17% and rise by 470% year-on-year, and third highest were Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations, which were 13% of the new job postings and 74% higher year-on-year.

Top five companies in travel and tourism accounted for 79% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Marriott International with 793, followed by InterContinental Hotels Group with 69, while the highest increase was at Shangri-La Asia at 1%.
