Management Occupations, with a share of 22%, emerged as the top personalization-related job roles within the travel and tourism industry in Q4 2023, with new job postings rising by 45% quarter-on-quarter. Personal Care and Service Occupations came in second with a share of 18% in Q4 2023, with new job postings rising by 10% over the previous quarter.

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q4 2023 were Marriott International, Accor, Hilton Worldwide, Shangri-La Asia, and Marriott Vacations Worldwide. Together they accounted for a combined share of 74% of all personalization-related new jobs in the travel and tourism industry.
Marriott International posted 3,396 personalization-related new jobs in Q4 2023, Accor 598 jobs, Hilton Worldwide 368 jobs, Shangri-La Asia 268 jobs, and Marriott Vacations Worldwide 268 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 31.89% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023
The largest share of personalization-related new job postings in the travel and tourism industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 31.89% followed by China (7.51%) and the UAE (6.86%). The share represented by the US was ten percentage points lower than the 41.81% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
