US-based company Marriott International ’s IT hiring an increased 12.0% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 3.14% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 0.42% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.05% down over the last three-month average share.
Computer and Information Analysts tops Marriott International IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Marriott International, Computer and Information Analysts emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 28.57% in July 2021, and an 11.11% growth over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 25.71% in July 2021, and registered a 10% decline. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 20% in July 2021, a 600% rise from June 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Marriott International
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 40% share, which marked a 16.67% growth over the previous month.
North America stood next with 40%, registering a 100% month-on-month growth. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 20% share and a 133.33% growth over June 2021.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 40% share in July 2021, a 133.33% growth over June 2021. China featured next with a 25.71% share, up 50% over the previous month.United Arab Emirates recorded an 11.43% share, an increase of 100% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Marriott International IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.43%, up by 12.5% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 31.43% share, a growth of 83.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.14% share, up 100% over June 2021.
