June 2021 has seen an increase of 28.81% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.4% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering decrease of 1.68% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 64.29% in June 2021, a 100% growth over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 14.29% in June 2021, marking a 55.56% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 7.14% in June 2021, a flat growth from May 2021.
Computer and Information Analysts registered a share of 7.14% in June 2021, a flat growth over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 91.67% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s travel & tourism industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts posted 10 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 25% over the previous month, followed by Uber Technologies with 5 jobs and a 400% growth. Cineworld Group with 4 IT jobs and JetBlue Airways with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 100% increase, respectively, while Selina Holding Co recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s travel & tourism industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 21.43% share in June 2021, a 200% rise over May 2021. Argentina featured next with a 17.86% share, flat growth over the previous month. Trinidad and Tobago recorded a 14.29% share, a growth of 300% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.14%, flat growth from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 25% share, a growth of 600% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 17.86% share, up 66.67% over May 2021.
