US-based company Uber Technologies’s IT hiring declined 7.0% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 5.82% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 26.7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 2.11% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Uber Technologies IT hiring in July 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Uber Technologies, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 70.99% in July 2021, and a 30.6% drop over June 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 18.32% in July 2021, and registered an 118.18% increase. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 5.34% in July 2021, a 133.33% rise from June 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Uber Technologies

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 56.49% share, which marked a 21.28% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 29.77%, registering a 14.71% month-on-month growth. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 7.63% share and a 9.09% drop over June 2021.

In the fourth place was Europe with a share of 5.34% and a month-on-month decline of 70.83%.South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.76%, registering an 80% drop over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 54.2% share in July 2021, a 14.46% decline over June 2021. India featured next with a 19.85% share, down 10.34% over the previous month. Egypt recorded a 6.11% share, an increase of 300% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Uber Technologies IT hiring activity in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.41%, down by 26.89% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.56% share, a growth of 27.78% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 16.03% share, down 30% over June 2021.
