Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.84% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 0.66% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.58% in June 2021, a 47.96% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 14.68% share, an increase of 82.14% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.16%, registering a 7.61% decline from May 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 6.05%, up 90.91% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in the US IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 92.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US travel & tourism industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
BCD Travel Services posted 246 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 6050% over the previous month, followed by Walt Disney with 112 jobs and a 2.75% growth. Uber Technologies with 83 IT jobs and Cineworld Group with 65 jobs, recorded a 27.69% growth and a 6.56% increase, respectively, while Expedia Group recorded a 13.95% decline with 37 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.78%, up by 30.31% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.13% share, a growth of 23.59% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.71% share, up 114.04% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.38%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
