Walt Disney’s IT hiring activity declines 1.2% in June 2021

US-based company Walt Disney’s IT hiring declined 1.2% in June 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 3.17% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 13.21% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a 0.97% down over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Walt Disney IT hiring in June 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Walt Disney, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 70.71% in June 2021, and a 6.6% drop over May 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 12.14% in June 2021, and registered a 54.55% an increase. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 8.57% in June 2021, a 100% rise from May 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Walt Disney

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in June 2021 with an 81.43% share, which marked a 4.59% growth over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 16.43%, registering a 27.78% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 1.43% share and a 71.43% drop over May 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.71% and a month-on-month an flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with an 80% share in June 2021, a 2.75% growth over May 2021. China featured next with a 16.43% share, up 35.29% over the previous month.United Kingdom recorded a 1.43% share, decline of 66.67% compared with May 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Walt Disney IT hiring activity in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.43%, down by 3.37% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 27.14% share, a growth of 8.57% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.71% share, up 36.36% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.71%, recording a month-on-month an flat growth.
