Out of the total IT job titles posted by A.P. Moller – Maersk, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50.26% in January 2022, and a 61.54% drop over December 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 26.98% in January 2022, and registered a decline of 3.77%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 9.52% in January 2022, a 28.57% rise from December 2022.
Europe drives IT hiring at A.P. Moller – Maersk
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in January 2022 with a 53.97% share, which marked an 11.3% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 36.51%, registering a 65.15% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 7.94% share and a 15.38% rise over December 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.06% and a month-on-month decline of 75%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.53%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
Denmark commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 30.16% share in January 2022, a 9.62% growth over December 2022. India featured next with a 30.16% share, down 68.85% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 17.99% share, a decline of 2.86% compared with December 2022.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.32%, down by 29.19% from December 2022. Mid Level positions with a 32.8% share, a decline of 60.51% compared with the previous month.
