Denmark-based company A.P. Moller – Maersk’s IT hiring declined 8.6% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.55% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 13.88% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 0.82% decline over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by A.P. Moller – Maersk, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 49.13% in February 2022, and a 6.25% rise over January 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 21.39% in February 2022, and registered a decline of 17.78%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.45% in February 2022, a 31.58% rise from January 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at A.P. Moller – Maersk

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 48.55% share, which marked a 10.64% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 36.42%, registering an 8.62% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 9.83% share and a 21.43% rise over January 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.89% and a month-on-month increase of 150%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.31%, registering a 300% rise over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 27.75% share in February 2022, a 2.13% growth over January 2022. Denmark featured next with a 21.39% share, down 28.85% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 16.18% share, a decline of 3.45% compared with January 2022.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.36%, up by 17.65% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.12% share, a decline of 25.93% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.51% share, flat growth over January 2022.
