Denmark-based company A.P. Moller – Maersk’s IT hiring rose 19.2% in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 3.85% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.

IT jobs claimed an 18.09% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2021, and recorded a 3.12% growth over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by A.P. Moller – Maersk, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 77.42% in December 2021, and an 84.62% rise over November 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 13.23% in December 2021, and registered a decline of 2.38%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 4.19% in December 2021, a 75.47% drop from November 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at A.P. Moller – Maersk

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in December 2021 with a 63.23% share, which marked a 108.51% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 30%, registering a 29.01% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 3.87% share and a 25% drop over November 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.58% and a month-on-month increase of 60%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.32%, registering a 50% drop over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 58.39% share in December 2021, an 112.94% growth over November 2021. Denmark featured next with a 16.77% share, down 8.77% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 10.97% share, a decline of 17.07% compared with November 2021.

Mid Level jobs lead A.P. Moller – Maersk IT hiring activity in December 2021

Mid Level jobs held a share of 49.03%, up by 171.43% from November 2021. Junior Level positions with a 45.48% share, a decline of 18.97% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.48% share, down 5.56% over November 2021.
