The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0.02% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
IT jobs claimed an 8.82% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2022, and recorded a 0.51% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops A.P. Moller – Maersk IT hiring in August 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by A.P. Moller – Maersk, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 58.18% in August 2022, and a 26.32% rise over July 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 15.15% in August 2022, and registered a decline of 40.48%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 13.33% in August 2022, a 15.79% rise from July 2022.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at A.P. Moller – Maersk
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in August 2022 with a 50.3% share, which marked a 14.43% drop over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 37.58%, registering a 6.9% month-on-month growth. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 6.06% share and a 66.67% rise over July 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 4.24% and a month-on-month flat growth. North America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.82%, registering a 57.14% drop over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 38.18% share in August 2022, a 25% decline over July 2022. Denmark featured next with a 21.82% share, up 38.46% over the previous month. China recorded a 10.91% share, an increase of 50% compared with July 2022.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.76%, up by 3.31% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.64% share, a growth of 2.63% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 0.61% share, down 88.89% over July 2022.
