Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in September 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 67.62% in September 2021, a 2.92% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 14.26% in September 2021, marking a 7.69% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 9.98% in September 2021, a 16.95% drop from August 2021.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 37.76% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s travel & tourism industry during September 2021 over previous month.
Expedia Group posted 94 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by A.P. Moller – Maersk with 94 jobs and an 18.99% growth. Tabcorp Holdings with 32 IT jobs and Genting Group with 27 jobs, recorded a 77.78% rise and a 44.9% drop, respectively, while Booking Holdings recorded a 54% decline with 23 job postings during September 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s travel & tourism industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 46.64% share in September 2021, a 12.81% increase over August 2021. Australia featured next with a 17.11% share, up 3.7% over the previous month. Malaysia recorded an 8.35% share, a drop of 52.87% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.73%, down by 4.05% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.2% share, registered a growth of 12.37% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.87% share, down 9.88% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.2%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
