The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 6.58% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 19.93% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 1.61% growth over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects tops Booking Holdings IT hiring in September 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings, Database and Network Administrators and Architects emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 41.77% in September 2022, and a 57.14% rise over August 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 39.24% in September 2022, and registered a decline of 39.22%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.19% in September 2022, a 71.43% rise from August 2022.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 79.75% share, which marked a 34.04% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 13.92%, registering a 63.33% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 6.33% share and a flat growth over August 2022.
Thailand commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 63.29% share in September 2022, a 56.25% growth over August 2022. India featured next with an 11.39% share, flat growth over the previous month. Canada recorded a 6.33% share, a decline of 58.33% compared with August 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.23%, down by 4.17% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 25.32% share, a decline of 13.04% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.46% share, up 18.18% over August 2022.
