US-based company Booking Holdings IT hiring declined 14.0% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 8% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 19.1% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 1.65% decline over the last three-month average share.
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings , Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 55.17% in June 2022, and a 77.62% drop over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 32.76% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 26.92%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.62% in June 2022, a 28.57% drop from May 2022.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 53.45% share, which marked a 58.11% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 32.76%, registering a 40.63% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 13.79% share and an 88.41% drop over May 2022.
Thailand commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 36.21% share in June 2022, a 41.67% decline over May 2022. US featured next with a 24.14% share, down 39.13% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 10.34% share, a decline of 14.29% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.69%, down by 65.25% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.52% share, a decline of 43.75% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 13.79% share, down 81.4% over May 2022.
