US-based company Booking Holdings IT hiring declined 18.3% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 11.21% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 17.28% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 2.38% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Booking Holdings IT hiring in July 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 60.71% in July 2022, and a 6.25% rise over June 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 25% in July 2022, and registered a decline of 26.32%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.93% in July 2022, a flat growth from June 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 48.21% share, which marked a 12.9% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 41.07%, registering a 21.05% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 10.71% share and a 25% drop over June 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 35.71% share in July 2022, a 42.86% growth over June 2022. Thailand featured next with a 30.36% share, down 19.05% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.71%, down by 17.07% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.43% share, a growth of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 17.86% share, up 25% over June 2022.
