Germany-based company Deutsche Bahn’s IT hiring declined 4.0% in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 2.46% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 4.03% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2021, and recorded a 0.01% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Deutsche Bahn IT hiring in December 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Deutsche Bahn, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50.62% in December 2021, and a 14.58% drop over November 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 25.93% in December 2021, and registered flat growth. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.81% in December 2021, a flat growth from November 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at Deutsche Bahn

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in December 2021 with an 85.19% share, which marked an 8% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 8.64%, registering a 12.5% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 4.94% share and a 20% drop over November 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.23% and a month-on-month flat growth.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 75.31% share in December 2021, a 1.67% growth over November 2021. US featured next with an 8.64% share, flat growth over the previous month. The UK recorded a 4.94% share, a decline of 50% compared with November 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Deutsche Bahn IT hiring activity in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.26%, down by 25% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.99% share, a growth of 112.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.81% share, down 20% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 4.94%, recording a month-on-month increase of 300%.
