Deutsche Lufthansa’s IT hiring activity rises 20.7% in February 2022

Germany-based company Deutsche Lufthansa’s IT hiring rose 20.7% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 15.96% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 17.16% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 0.54% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Deutsche Lufthansa IT hiring in February 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Deutsche Lufthansa, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 58.1% in February 2022, and a 74.29% rise over January 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 22.86% in February 2022, and registered growth of 71.43%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.57% in February 2022, a 12.5% rise from January 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Deutsche Lufthansa

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in February 2022 with an 85.71% share, which marked a 38.46% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 11.43%, registering an 1100% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 2.86% share and a 200% rise over January 2022.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 56.19% share in February 2022, a 15.69% growth over January 2022. India featured next with an 11.43% share, up 1100% over the previous month. Italy recorded an 11.43% share, an increase of 1100% compared with January 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Deutsche Lufthansa IT hiring activity in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.43%, up by 59.57% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.86% share, a growth of 140% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.71% share, down 40% over January 2022.
