Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in September 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 64.33% in September 2021, a 4.2% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 18.9% in September 2021, marking a 1.64% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 6.86% in September 2021, a 35.71% drop from August 2021.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 25.64% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s travel & tourism industry during September 2021 over previous month.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 77 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a decline of 7.23% over the previous month, followed by Expedia Group with 67 jobs and a flat growth. DSV Panalpina with 63 IT jobs and Deutsche Bahn with 46 jobs, recorded a 10% drop and a 24.59% drop, respectively, while Evolution Gaming Group recorded a 105% increase with 41 job postings during September 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s travel & tourism industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 28.66% share in September 2021, an 18.61% decrease over August 2021. Germany featured next with a 23.02% share, down 7.36% over the previous month. Denmark recorded a 7.62% share, a growth of 19.05% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.19%, up by 2.86% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 14.94% share, registered a decline of 7.55% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 13.72% share, down 5.26% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.15%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
